Well, it has the potential to mean huge profits – if you’re prepared. Here are the hot ticket items of Patch 4.2:

It may seem like some complex, insider information, but stockpiling in preparation for 4.2 is as simple as your every day Auction Housing. In fact, there are only three steps, each explained in our multi-part series that helps you construct a winning gold strategy for Patch 4.2:

1. Identify A Need: Every item listed above is going to be in high demand, but you can narrow down the list by looking at your particular goals. How are you making gold right now? Is there a market you currently know backwards and forwards? Even if you don’t have a current market, each item on the list is a no-miss for at least the first month of 4.2.

2. Build Your Stock: Are you going to gather the materials yourself? Are you going to use the materials to craft something else? If you plan to buy anything off the Auction House, you’ll need to stockpile it when prices are lowest. And if you’re a crafter, you’ll want to get your hands on plenty of (still BoP…) Chaos Orbs.

3. Know the Market: This is often the hardest part, but with a little research you can better understand when your items will net the best possible profit. People buy things at different times for different reasons, and you need to know what times to post, how long to post, and when you can push prices with little competition.
